A full time Accounting Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the Chief Operating Officer. In addition, this position will interface with individuals throughout the firm and be part of a team providing support in the areas of client service, marketing and general office administration. Responsibilities include:
*generating account receivables on a quarterly basis
*processing payables in accounting system
*completing annual insurance renewal forms
*assisting with annual financials audit and tax returns
*assisting with Minority Business Enterprise applications
Bachelor’s Degree required plus office experience preferred. Accounting degree not required. Background or education in accounting is a plus.
A highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a positive, “can do” attitude and experience collaborating with a team to create a smooth workflow and meet deadlines. The individual in this position should have experience in managing multiple concurrent tasks, the ability to anticipate needs, and exhibit good judgment in problem solving. An individual should have intermediate to advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel software. They should also have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
